A holiday to Australia could be ideal for imaginative travellers hoping to head out on a trip this year, following comments from David Wickers.
Writing for Now Fly, the travel editor for Good Housekeeping and former chief travel correspondent for the Sunday Times stated that the he likes the nation so much that he could live there.
He added that it might also ideal for a family adventure or small group holiday.
If time is limited, Mr Wickers explained, "I would urge you to focus on one corner [of the country], confident in knowing that you'll love it so much you're bound to want to go back".
He said that the best plan of action for travelling families would be to visit Sydney, Jervis Bay, the Blue Mountains and Hunter Valley.
Lonely Planet suggests people heading to the country should see Kakadu National Park, Uluru, Broome and the Flinders Ranges.
