Wednesday, January 13, 2010

Imaginative travellers may want to consider a trip to Poland after the Polish National Tourist Office stated that the country is perfect for explorers looking for "authentic flair".

According to the body's development, PR and press manager Ewa Binkin, the destination is "terribly diverse", offering opportunities to ski, shop, hit the beaches and experience ecotourism.

In addition, she said that the Baltic Sea, Warsaw and Malopolska are popular regions among travellers.

She commented that the destination also offers good value for money.

"Accommodation, food and travel is not very expensive, so over all, especially in the time of global economic frudency, it's a very attractive destination," she said.

Furthermore, the country is outside of the eurozone, making exchange rates favourable from the pound.

Poland was recently included in the Guardian's list of destinations of the decade.

Mozambique, Argentina, Oman, China and Croatia were others featured by the publication for their appeal to travellers over the last ten years.
