Changes in Tour Cost
We pre-booked the Treasures of the Nile Valley tour in 12/2008 for departure 10/11/09. At the time of booking we agreed to the booking conditions as outlined in your catalog. We were fully aware that this covered fluctuations in tour cost and merely guaranteed our spot in the tour. Since then, and at the time of our payment in full, the tour cost decreased - substantially (over $300 - almost $1000 for the three of us). Attempts to get a refund have been denied. We were referred to Section 6 - Surcharges in the Booking Conditions and then told in the same email that "the decision was made not to continue with this practise and impose a fluid price policy. This means that the price on our website is updated and the price that is quoted to you at the time of booking is the price you pay which means no surcharges are imposed at a later date." I have asked for the reference for this new fluid price policy and when it formally came into effect, and most importantly, how this jives with the original terms of the booking agreement that we accepted in December '08. Maybe I'll get better resolution here on this blog?
Thanks for any assistance or clarification.
