daily-itinerary1

Day
1

New York Area & Buffalo

Famous for getting LOTS of snow and as the birthplace of spicy-hot chicken wings, Buffalo is a waterfront city situated on the eastern shores of Lake Erie. As the second largest city in New York State, there is a thriving music scene, culinary culture and late night clubbing on West Chippewa Street. Why not visit the Anchor Bar for their famous chicken wings - well known to have invented the taste sensation in 1964.

Accommodation: Budget Lodging included

Day
2

Toronto

Visit the crashing Niagara Falls and make the last few paces into Canada across nearby Rainbow Bridge. Why not opt for the Maid of the Mist cruise to get up close. No freestanding structure in the western hemisphere stands taller than the CN Tower, so get up and gawp down over Toronto and Lake Ontario. Browse trendy stores and cosy cafes on College and Queens Street, and don't be too surprised to see an A-lister: TO (that's Toronto, Ontario) is Canada's answer to Hollywood.

Accommodation: Budget Lodging included

Day
3-4

Montreal

Expect a little European flair, as Montreal is the second largest French speaking city in the world (only beaten by Paris). Museums, galleries, eateries and clubs mix a cocktail of the best bits from both continents. Don't miss out on the "Underground City" including 30km devoted to all things retail, or adventurous jet-boating!

Accommodation: Budget Lodging included

Day
5-6

Stowe

During the winter, this 'Ski Capital of the East' puts on an incredible winter spread, but remains a highlight during summer months with hiking, biking and swimming within the same mountain range. Stowe isn't complete without a stop by the Ben and Jerry's ice cream factory! You Chunky Monkey!

Accommodation: Budget Lodging included

Day
7-8

Boston

Here in 'Beantown' relive the revolution along the Freedom Trail, and depending on the season, take an offbeat student-led tour of Harvard or visit the Salam Witch Trails Museum. Later, grab a bite to eat in an Italian trattoria, a seasonal brew in an Irish pub, or head to the original 'Cheers' bar. While in Boston, why not visit Daddy's Dough who serves up the best fried dough in the Greater Boston area?

Accommodation: Budget Lodging included

Update: From 01 Jan 2014 we will stop by Salem, the town responsible for the witch trials of 1692 where you'll have the chance to step back in time at the Witch Trials Museum.

Day
9

Boston & New York Area

We head back towards the 'City that never sleeps'. This tour is not scheduled to spend any time in New York City so make sure you book extra hotel nights and explore the sights and sounds of the Big Apple on your own. Splurge along Fifth Ave, hit the top of the Empire State Building, or soak up the trendy, laidback vibe of Greenwich Village before heading home. Now, that's what you call a storybook ending.

This tour ends at our gateway hotel at approximately 17:00 hrs. We can book you post-tour accommodation at our gateway hotel if required. If you are planning to fly tonight, please do not book a flight that departs before 21:00 hrs.

responsible-travel1

Responsible tourism is at the heart of Imaginative Traveller. For 20 years we have taken customers to places around the world in social and environmentally responsible manner, ensuring everyone involved respects and maintains the natural and often delicate balance of the destination.

As travellers ourselves we are well aware of the impact that tourism can have and whilst economic gain from tourism is often fundamental to a country, it should never be at the expense of its culture or the environment. It is our aim to provide journeys that have minimal negative and maximum positive impact on the places we visit. We do not believe that, as visitors, we should impose our own cultures on others; rather that we should experience foreign cultures and appreciate them for what they are.

We believe giving something back is essential. We therefore work with our customers and the people we visit to ensure the benefits go directly to contribute to local cultures and environmental conservation. This is not only good the communities we visit but it also gives our travellers more enriched adventures.
