This trip is an overland trip run in an overland truck. In addition to paying for your trip, you're require to make a separate payment to your tour leader at the start of the trip, usually in USD. Kitties are flexible and change as prices are updated. Therefore you should check the latest kitty amount on this website before you depart.
A kitty is a group fund which covers all accommodation, meals while camping (not in hotels) and activities listed as included. It's a system unique to overlanding to provide the maximum flexibility and best value on the road (you get everything at cost price!). The kitty is your money, not ours, so any amount left over is divided among the group as a refund.

Quito<- ->Lima
If you’ve only got three weeks in which to sample South America, you couldn’t do better than visit Ecuador and Peru. These two countries, rich in culture and landscape, are like South America in a nutshell, with terrain that ranges from steaming jungle to the dizzying pinnacles of the High Andes. Beginning in Quito – a city that is a fusion of European and Indian culture – you’ll head into the humid lushness of the Amazon for a stay at a jungle camp. Going to sleep to the sounds of the forest is an experience you’ll remember forever. From here you’ll overland high into the Andes, before descending to the coast and crossing into Peru. There’s plenty of time to explore the incredible heritage of the Incas after continuing along the Pacific coast, and the trip ends in Peru’s capital city, Lima.Border information: If you are starting at Quito, enter Ecuador at Quito airport.
