What was the most memorable part of your tour?

All of it. Syria is an amazing country. If I must choose - sitting in a date store watching football with the locals. great fun

How would you rate the tour leaders?

excellent. Bashar was very enthusiastic and was keen to impart knowledge about his country without being too pushy. He was good fun and made for an enjoyable trip.

Do you feel your holiday benefited local people?

I hope so apart from spending money in the local economy.

Do you feel that you got under the skin of a country?

I hope so. For me personally I would have liked the itinery to be longer and have taken in more of the country.

What advice would you give to other travellers?

Travel, meet the locals, dispel your misconceptions, be open to new ideas and experiences.
