You may find that this whole tour feels a bit like taking a trip back to another time. We'll trek through traditional villages at the foot of the Inerie volcano, where life has continued in the same way for hundreds of years, relax on white sand beaches and snorkel at pristine coral reefs. We stay overnight at a remote Catholic mission, visit the lively markets of Ruten and continue to Labuhanbajo, 'the cape of the flowers', full of bougainvillaea-festooned houses. Finally we board our boat for a two-day trip to Rinca and Komodo island, our chance to finally enter the dragon's den and see these amazing creatures in their natural habitat.
