This trip is an overland trip run in an overland truck. In addition to paying for your trip, you're require to make a separate payment to your tour leader at the start of the trip, usually in USD. Kitties are flexible and change as prices are updated. Therefore you should check the latest kitty amount on this website before you depart.

A kitty is a group fund which covers all accommodation, meals while camping (not in hotels) and activities listed as included. It's a system unique to overlanding to provide the maximum flexibility and best value on the road (you get everything at cost price!). The kitty is your money, not ours, so any amount left over is divided among the group as a refund.

This adventurous journey takes in one of South America’s most fascinating and least-visited countries: Colombia. It's not your average tourist destination yet the country seems to have it all: idyllic Caribbean beaches, elegant colonial architecture and amazing Andean scenery. Journey the length of the country top to bottom, beginning by exploring the historic town of Cartagena – a World Heritage Site – stopping off to relax at the spectacular San Bernardo islands before having the chance to take part in numerous adventure activities around the beautiful lakeside setting at Guatape. Our travellers tell us that their favourite part of the trip (and unique to Dragoman) is a stay on a Fairtrade coffee plantation in the Zona Cafeteria, located high in the Andes amidst stunning mountain scenery, closely followed by enjoying the nightlife of Medellin and Cali (the latter with mobile discos!). This camping and hotel-based trip ends in Quito, the capital of Ecuador.
