Central America’s ancient past is brought to life on this adventure through the Mayan heartland. We explore the magnificent sites of Palenque and Chichen Itza, and wander the streets of colonial Merida and Campeche. Then, after a day visiting Mayan ruins located deep in the jungle we spend the night at a Lacandon Indian settlement. The tour ends on the stunning Isla Mujeres, a beautiful island on Mexico’s Caribbean coastline.
