At Imaginative Traveller, we understand that everyone travels for different reasons. Our dedicated tailor-made team have spent more than 20 years travelling the world in search of the very best destinations and activities, giving them the knowledge and experience to help you bring your travel ideas to life. Just let us know where you want to go and when, and we’ll take care of the rest.

With a rich landscape of mountains, rice fields, golden pagodas, sacred stupas, and a fair share of tropical beaches, it’s no wonder that Myanmar, now open to tourism once again after decades of isolation, is today one of Asia’s must-visit destinations. This unique and complex country is entering a new era, and visitors will be delighted by its Buddhist culture, easy pace of life, and the warm and gentle welcome.

Myanmar has a tropical climate, so the winter months from October to May are the perfect time to visit, when there’s little rain and lots of sunshine. Our tailor-made tour of Magical Myanmar lets you see this beautiful country in whichever way you wish, whether that’s by visiting historical sites such as the Shwesandaw Pagoda and Mount Popa, or getting a taste of a simpler way of life while watching the famous Inle Lake fishermen or watching the sun go down from Mandalay Hill.

South Africa

The Rainbow Nation is set to be one of 2020’s top travel destinations, with its incredible variety of culture, stunning landscapes, wildlife and, of course, wonderful wines and food. And there’s no better way to see South Africa than by getting behind the wheel of your hire car and following the exquisite Garden Route on the country’s south-western coast.

The Garden Route is a brilliant trip all year round; you might set off from Cape Town and head to Port Elizabeth, or complete it as a round trip back to Cape Town. Either way, you’ll be treated to dramatically-changing landscapes, from the white sands and crystal-blue waters of Plettenberg Bay to the dense forests and sheltered lagoons of Wilderness.

Our Tailor-Made team recently put together a 16-day, self-drive itinerary for two along the Garden Route, beginning with a few days soaking up the atmosphere in Cape Town, before heading out to explore the slopes, caves and beaches along the coastline, as well as Addo National Park for a wildlife safari.

Often described as the most European of the South American countries, Argentina is fiercely independent with an indefatigable energy and exuberant character. Home to sultry tango bars and vast cattle ranches, the proud and passionate people will linger in your memory just as long as the magnificent landscapes.

Imaginative Traveller’s Tailor-Made team recently prepared a bespoke honeymoon adventure for two of our clients. The 19-day package takes in the majestic glaciers and mountains of Patagonia, the remote and otherworldly landscapes of the North West, and the vineyards and olive groves of Mendoza, as well as the cobbled streets of antiquated colonial cities and the country’s buzzing capital, Buenos Aires. It’s trekking season until early March, so now’s a great time to start planning your Argentinean adventure.
