Next, head out across the Agean Sea to the hedonistic island of Mykonos from where you can explore Delos, the mythical birthplace of Apollo. Finally it is on to Santorini, famed for its stunning sunsets and snow-drifts of white-washed Cycladic houses.

Arrive in Athens, where you will be met by your English speaking driver and transferred to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy Athens by Night tour and a dinner at a typical Greek tavern in the Plaka, the city's buzzing night spot.
After breakfast you will embark upon a city tour with a visit to the famous Acropolis. Expert guides take you to see the center of the city including Constitution Square (Syntagma), the Parliament, the Memorial to the Unknown Soldier and the National Library. See the Panathenaic Stadium (where the first Olympic Games of the modern era were held in 1896), the Temple of Olympian Zeus and Hadrian's Arch. Finally, you will reach the Acropolis where you will see the architectural masterpieces of the Golden Age of Athens: the Propylaea, the Temple of Athena Nike, the Erechtheion and finally, the Parthenon.
For a well earned lunch, you will head to a local restaurant under the slopes of Acropolis (at own expense). After lunch depart for a wonderful drive along the scenic coastal road which affords a splendid view of the Saronic Gulf, passing through some of Athens most beautiful suburbs (Glyfada, Vouliagmeni, Varkiza) to Cape Sounion.
Cape Sounion is only 45 miles (70 kilometers) from Athens, making it the perfect lazy afternoon tour destination. The Cape's Temple of Poseidon is perched on a rocky hilltop overlooking the sea. The view across the Aegean is magnificent with one of the most breathtaking panoramic views in the world, extending all the way to Kea and the Peloponnese on a clear day. The Temple of Poseidon was built in 44 B.C., and many of its original Doric columns are still standing. One of the columns has a graffiti left by none other than Lord Byron in the early 1800s. The precipice is a sheer 197 foot drop to the sea.
Return to Athens for your overnight stay.
Today you will join a 4 day group tour (private tour available at extra cost) which allows you to explore Greece through the centuries. You will leave by the coastal road to the Corinth Canal (short stop). Drive on and visit the Theatre of Epidauros, famous for its remarkable acoustics. Then proceed to the town of Nauplion where you will make a short photo stop before heading on to Mycenae and visiting the Archaeological Site and the Tomb of Agamemnon. Then depart for Olympia, travelling through Central Peloponnese and the towns of Tripolis and Megalopolis. You will overnight in Olympia, the cradle of the Olympic Games.
In the morning visit the Archaeological Site with the Sanctuary of Olympian Zeus, the Ancient Stadium and the Archaeological Museum. Then drive on through the plains of Ilia and Achaia until the magnificent bridge which is crossing the Corinthian Bay from Rion to Antirion. Pass by the picturesque towns of Nafpactos (Lepanto) and Itea, arrive in Delphi for your overnight stay.
In the morning visit the Archaeological Site and the Museum. Depart for Kalambaka, a small town situated at the foot of the astonishing complex of Meteora, gigantic rocks. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay against this stunning backdrop.
Visit Meteora, among striking scenery, perched on top of huge rocks which seem to be suspended in mid-air, stand ageless Monasteries, where you can see exquisite specimens of Byzantine art. Return to Athens via Trikala, Lamia, Thermopylae (short stop to see across the road the Leonida’s Monument). Arrive in Athens early in the evening.
After breakfast, transfer to the port of Piraeus for your high speed ferry crossing to the beautiful island of Mykonos. Upon arrival you will be met at the port and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore under your own steam.
After breakfast, embark upon a full day excursion to Delos Island. Meet at Mykonos Old Port to board your boat and enjoy a 30 minute cruise to Delos. Enjoy a 2 hour guided tour of this extremely important and sacred archaeological site. Delos, once a Sacred Island, is the legendary birthplace of the Sun God Apollo and his twin sister Artemis. Highlights include the Agora and the Sacred Way, the Temple of Apollo; the Hellenistic Quarte. Note the architecture and mosaic floors, which have survived over 2500 years. Marvel at the spectacular Avenue of the Lions. Return to Mykonos for your overnight stay.
After breakfast, board a local ferry bound for the island of Santorini. Upon arrival you will be met at the port and transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for you to relax and explore under your own steam.
Enjoy the beauty of Santorini, with a visit to the Volcano and Hot Springs and marvel at the wonderful images created at sunset. Depart from your hotel for Athinio Port, where you will board a traditional greek sailing boat with your guide and sail to the Volcano. You can also walk up the volcano face with your guide (entrance fee not included).
Afterwards, sail to the Hot Springs for a swim in the warm waters. The boat merely stops (but does not dock here). Then sail to the Island of Thirassia which was a part of Santorini until 235 BC, when a great volcanic eruption separated them, turning it into an exotic rocky island. Ride a mule to the top of the rocky hills of for amazing views. Shop around or have lunch (not included). Depart for the Port of Armeni, where you disembark and walk up the steps to Oia town to watch the sunset. Walk to the pre-arranged parking area where you will be met and returned to your hotel for your overnight stay.
After breakfast you will be transferred to the port for your high speed ferry back to Athens. Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel for your final night in Athens.
At an appropriate time you will be transferred to the airport for your departing flight.
