13th - 15th March 2020
Peter Pears Gallery, Aldeburgh
Imaginative Traveller are pleased to once again be the main sponsor of Young Art East Anglia, which is run by an amazing group of volunteers led by Chair Heidi Norman. This year’s theme is ‘A Moment in Time’, and 54 Suffolk primary schools are participating. She says, "It is always amazing to see the talented work that our local children produce with the help and guidance from the teachers in Suffolk. The amount we raise towards funds for Cancer Research UK has increased year on year. We are very grateful for the continuing support of Young Art.”
Winners of the 2020 annual art competition will be displayed on 13- 15th March at the Peter Pears Gallery in Aldeburgh, raising vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
This year’s judge will be Suffolk-based artist Mimi Nicholson, with about 350 selected pieces of the childrens' art displayed at the Gallery. We are delighted to be involved with this great event, and by helping to cover the competition’s running costs we ensure the donation to Cancer Research UK is as large as possible. Mimi says “I’m delighted that yet again so many schools are involved in Young Art East Anglia and look forward to seeing what I am sure will be a huge variety of interesting art. Judging the highly commended entrants and winners will no doubt be very hard!”
The exhibition of all selected work will be held 13- 15th March 2020 at The Peter Pears Gallery 152 High St, Aldeburgh IP15 5AQ situated behind the Suffolk Cottage Holidays office in Aldeburgh High Street. Everyone is welcome to visit the gallery on: 13th March 1pm- 5pm, 14th March 12pm- 5pm, and 15th March 10am – 4pm. Entrance is £2 with children free.
