Namibia

Independently-minded travellers seeking the freedom and flexibility of a self-drive adventure will love Namibia. Epic landscapes, such as the seemingly endless Namib desert, the wildlife-riddled Etosha salt pan, the breathtaking Fish River Canyon, and the towering sand dunes of Sossusvlei, make the perfect backdrop for an epic road trip. Don’t be put off by the thought of driving in Africa! Getting behind the wheel in Namibia is a doddle, with well-graded roads and left-hand driving making this a fun and accessible country for everyone to explore. There is a wide range of accommodations throughout the region, from stunning remote campsites to luxurious lodges and tented camps, so all budgets can be catered for.

Our Classic Namibia Tour combines the major highlights - Etosha National Park, Sossusvlei, Fish River Canyon, Swakopmund, and Damaraland – into a concise 2-week package. Accommodation along the way is provided in a fantastic selection of lodges and tented camps and you'll be driving in the comfort and safety of a sturdy 4x4.

Tanzania Bush Rover Safari

The key to a great safari is being in the right place at the right time, which is why we work with our friends at Bush Rover to provide tailor-made safari adventures in Tanzania – the ultimate African wildlife destination. The Bush Rover is a fully-functional and mobile Land Rover, so you can always be at the heart of the action – but when you’re ready to settle in for the evening, it folds out in situ into a beautiful, comfortable, and private home, complete with a bedroom, solar-powered bathroom with walnut panelling and full-sized bath, and an elevated viewing balcony offering beautiful views over the plains of Tanzania.

On our Tanzania Safari & Beach Bush Rover tour you can enjoy a canoe ride along the narrow waterways leading to Lake Victoria, home to some of the most stunning varieties of birdlife Tanzania has to offer, before heading into the Serengeti National Park and Ngorongoro Crater for world-class game drives, and finally unwinding on the white sandy beaches of Zanzibar for a few days – the perfect place to reflect on what you’ve seen.

Now is the perfect time to book if you want to experience the Great Migration in 2020. Although the migration is a year-round event, the herds start to move north in April, after calving for the first few months of the year. Expect wet weather in April and May;  by June, the rainy season starts to wind down, but the best time to see the Great Migration is in August and September, when your chances of seeing a river crossing are much higher.

Philippines

An archipelago of more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines is defined by lively cities, smiling people, smouldering volcanoes, emerald rice terraces and, of course, exotic beaches and aquamarine seas. Here you will find a confluence of Spanish, American and Asian cultures coupled with a uniquely warm hospitality and some unexpected gastronomic delights. Our tailor-made team can combine these ingredients to cook up anything from a luxuriously romantic honeymoon to an epicurean food tour or an adventurous island castaway experience.

Packages to this vibrant and still largely undiscovered destination start from around £2,250 per person. Contact one of our tailor-made travel consultants for more information about this exciting new destination.
