Explore Jordan’s beautiful deserts and Bedouin lands on a tailormade tour which includes an unforgettable night under the stars in Wadi Rum and two full days to explore Petra. The historical city of Petra, once known as Raqmyu by the Nabataeans, is of course a highlight of any trip to Jordan, yet this magical Kingdom has plenty more to offer its visitors.
The hilltop city of Amman is the gateway to the Ajloun forest reserve which offers hiking through thick fragrant woodlands, while the Dead Sea provides an amusing mineral bath for bathers who struggle to keep their bodies from floating atop the warm waters. On this tailormade tour example, you can also enjoy picnics in the Dana Biosphere Trail and marvel at the intricate Byzantine mosaics of Madaba, as well as experience life in a Bedouin camp.
On arrival at Queen Alia International Airport you will be met by our chauffeur and driven to your hotel in Amman.
On first sight you may not think that Amman will win any prizes as the most interesting city, however on closer inspection you will find an atmospheric downtown with bustling souqs (markets), an active café culture of men and enough Roman ruins to keep you busy for at least a day.
Overlooking this city of hills is the Citadel - the remains of ancient Amman. Apart from the 360 degree views of modern Amman you will find the remains of the Umayyad Palace built by Arabs and the Roman-built Temple of Hercules.

Leaving Amman behind you will move on to Jerash, one of the best examples of a Roman City in the Middle East. This is a remarkable site and you can almost hear the cries of the sellers in the market place and the horse’s hooves as they raced around the hippodrome. If you plan your trip to Jordan in July-August we can include the Jerash Festival of Culture and Arts in your itinerary. Our day ends at the majestic crusader Castle of Ajloun.
Tonight, enjoy a special treat - a dinner within the atmospheric Castle walls. Your accommodation tonight is in the beautiful Ajloun Forest Reserve.

After breakfast we say farewell to our new Bedouin friends and travel to one of the strangest places on earth; the Dead Sea. More than 400m below sea level this is the lowest point on dry land and its hyper-saline water makes floating not only easy but impossible to resist. Walk into these warm waters and laugh as you find yourself struggling to stop your legs from rising up. The shore and bottom of the sea is mineral-rich thick black mud which is used for therapeutic and cosmetic treatments. Rub it on and wash it off and feel how smooth your skin becomes.
