•   Go behind the scenes of Game of Thrones and Gladiator in Ait Benhaddou. This fortified red city was once an important stop on the caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech - now it's a film-maker's heaven

•   Kick back in the coastal town of Essaouira, enjoying a fresh seafood BBQ on the waterfront

•   Take a guided tour through Marrakech's lively medina and join the nightly carnival of fortune-tellers, snake-charmers, dancers and medicine men in Jemaa el-Fna square

Itinerary & Notes
Salaam Aleikum! Welcome to Morocco. Your adventure begins today with a welcome meeting at 6 pm. As there's little free time included in Casablanca on this trip, to fully explore the city consider coming a day or two earlier. Modelled after Marseille in France, the city is famous for its art deco buildings and the modern-day masterpiece, the Hassan II Mosque. A pleasant way to spend the day exploring Casablanca is to wander the old medina and the city walls, then jump in a taxi to visit the Quartiers des Habous, the new medina. Finish the day with a walk along the Corniche, watching the locals play football on the beach, or take it easy with a glass of sweet mint tea in one of the many great cafes.

Really, our entire group could not have been in safer hands than with our Tour Guide, Khalid. During our trip on 'Best of Morocco', he was kind, helpful, ever present, well informed, thoughtful and objective. He informed us of the cultures of this very diverse and beautiful country, he was always at hand for any questions or support and was ever patient. To constantly give to everyone else and make people feel safe and happy, takes a very special person and we could not have asked for any more. This trip opened my eyes to a very diverse beautiful country showing us mountains, deserts, cities, medinas, kasbahs, beautiful tiles, melahs, history, centuries old traditions and great food. It's a great trip and if you're lucky enough to have Khalid as your Tour Leader - you'll enjoy every minute.

Excellent
