Itinerary & Notes
Sua s'dei! Welcome to Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Your adventure begins with a welcome meeting at 6pm tonight. If you arrive early, perhaps stroll the streets of Phnom Penh, taking in the interesting French colonial architecture. The National Museum, with its collection of classic Khmer craftsmanship, is well worth a visit. Dinner tonight will be at the Friends International restaurant, an organisation that provides training and employment in the hospitality industry to disadvantaged youth. It's a great restaurant to support and the food is delicious – the Western and Asian fusion tapas dishes have put this restaurant on the must visit list.

Excellent trip. Fitted an awful lot in with little free time - but when there was a free day most of the group booked it up with a cycle ride and a cookery class. Could have only been made better by staying longer at each place!

I have enjoyed every trip I have booked through Imaginative Traveller. Peru, Patagonia, Egypt and Jordan and now Cambodia and Vietnam.

This trip was amazing. You experience the sadness of each country's past and also get to explore the treasures - of which there are many. Intrepid ran both trips and they were very strong on conservation and their organisational skills were amazing. I am a vegetarian and so that was perhaps the only challenge - they are limited in what they offer to vegetarians but don't worry, there is always something and the tour guide will help you out if you feel stuck!
